As its title implies, the Course is arranged throughout as a teaching device, leading us step by step to remember our authentic Self. It was given by “a kind of rapid, inner dictation” to the psychologist Dr. Helen Schucman 50 years ago. The book is now distributed in Greece by Dion Publications.

The ACIM makes a fundamental distinction between the real and the unreal; between knowledge and perception. Some of the ideas presented you will find hard to believe, and others may seem to be quite startling. This does not matter. You are merely asked to apply the ideas as you are directed to do. You are not asked to judge them at all.

It aims at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance.
The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.

This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.

Through forgiveness the thinking of the world is reversed, it is the means of remembrance and the key to happiness.

Forgetting all our misperceptions, and with nothing from the past to hold us back, we can remember God. Beyond this, learning cannot go.

This holy instant would I give to You. Be you in charge. For I would follow You, certain that Your direction gives me peace.

And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me. If I need a thought, that will He also give. And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind, these are the gifts I will receive of Him. He is in charge by my request.
And He will hear and answer me, because He speaks for God my Father and His holy Son.
